I’m trying to do a highlight shader for some of my characters. a rim light effect basically but am a noob with shades. Any tips or tutorials I can use to achieve the effect?
Do you want something different from the Outline and Aura shaders found in the shader demo?

I’m not sure about 3D, sorry. You might try asking the shader guys over at the developers forum shader subforum.
