I'm working on a plugin that exploits some of the current Godot's features to get some kind of mesh deform. It shows a degree of unintended distortion but it mantains UV continuity as opposed to cut-out. For very organic stuff it may prove useful though umpredictable.

The good thing is that by being a plain plugin it doesn't require compilation; it's plugin & play.

It will be called MessDeform (note the pun).

EDIT: Already released! https://github.com/RandomShaper/godot-plugin-messdeform

EDIT 2: New version with less distortion! (Image updated)

It would be nice to hear your comments, Does anybody find this useful?
