Godot Stopped Working (Terminate called after throwing an instance of 'RtAudioError') - Windows 10 - 64-bit

Hi, sorry if this is not the right place and sorry for my bad english.

I’m new in Godot and all this game development thing and I’m trying to run Godot on Window 10 64-bit.

I downloaded the engine, but, when i try to run it stop working and give me an error saying the aplication terminate after throwing an instance of ‘RtAudioError’:

And it give a option to debug, but, another error shows:

If you guys can help me i would be very thankfull.

Do you have administrator rights on that computer? Sometimes the sound control can be blocked by administrator and when application wants to start sound stream its blocked and it throws error… Try running it as administrator and/or plugging in sound device (speakers, headphones, etc…) It could also be driver error so try updating your drives as well if this wont help…

Thank you, the problem was solved, my audio driver was messy and i re-install it and everything works fine now.

Hi.

I’m running Godot on Windows 10 and it works good for me. Usually, a common issue could be related to drivers that might’ve been deleted and/or changed when you upgraded the OS (or older drivers that simply don’t work anymore). Another common source of problems with Windows 10 (as I’ve read) may stem from doing the upgrade process on low to mid-range hardware as issues seem to disproportionately affect such users (people claim that Windows 10 is not as lightweight on lower-cost hardware as it’s claimed to be).

Be sure to check that your drivers are up to date. Otherwise, post your PC specs. to see if it might be a hardware compatibility issue (or a general hardware issue).
