in some of the earlier version of Godot the 2D scene view was less cluttered with gizmos and I really liked that.

But in 3.1 I can't seem to disable all the new gizmos and "helper text" that appears when you hover over a sprite. I have spend a lot of time in the editor settings but have not been able to find a place to disable this.

The 3D editor has options to turn off gizmos selectively but 2D doesn't seem to have that. Maybe a proposal should be opened in https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues
