:warning: Old Version Published before Godot 3 was released.

I download the godot file and unzipped on my computer and all the files have been unzipped as far as I can tell but there isn’t a way to open the application. I looked through all the folders but there isn’tany icon to click to start it not sure if it’s my computer or the application I used to unzip it or some other problem. Please help. My computer os is Windows xp and I used winzip to unzip the file. If you need more detailed or specific info to help me please ask.

When you unzip the file, you should get an executable named Godot_v2.1.4-stable_win32.exe or similar, depending on the Godot version and Windows architecture you chose. Running this .exe should start Godot.

But… Windows XP is unsupported by Godot Engine, and the executable won’t run. It will likely show an error dialog telling you that this is not a Windows-compatible application.

And there you’re out of luck, Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and we have no intention to keep it alive, as it strongly limits what we can use on newer Windows versions. For Godot 3.0, we are also removing support for Windows Vista. I would advise you to install a Linux system next to your Windows XP, which should give your hardware a second life and introduce you to a great ecosystem (where you’ll be able to run Godot).
