Speed-Up CPUParticles2D in GLS2 game?

I’m using CPUParticles2D in my mobile GLS2 game, to add some not-fundamental graphic effects (fireflies and trails), but I noticed that in many low-medium devices (tables and smartphones) it is really slow and many times I need to disable it to obtain a stable 60 FPS. Is there a valid method to can speed-up it a bit without to swap to GLS3 (low-medium mobile devices wrong support it)?
