Why doesn't the Godot AssetLib have 3d models

(not really an engine question but idk where else to put this)
The Unity Asset store is pretty amazing. It contains all sorts of stuff, so much that people make entire games using just premade assets from the Unity asset store.

On the surface, the Asset Library might look and function similar to asset stores available for other engines, such as Unity’s Asset Store, or Unreal Engine’s Marketplace, where you can submit both freely-available assets, as well as paid, commercial ones. In addition, often times such assets are distributed under non-free, proprietary licenses, limiting what you can do with them. -Godot Engine

Since the Godot AssetLib is designed to be a free and open sourced version of the Unity or Unreal Asset Store/Marketplace, I don’t understand why there are only 10 categories, most of which being tools and demos and whatnot. There’s no 3d models, textures, or 2d assets that I have seen on the Godot AssetLib and I don’t see any categories for them either. Is there a reason for this? I found a different website called The Godot Market Place that offers all the aforementioned stuff.

Anyways, I think that Godot could benefit from a nice Asset store, and having the ability to upload 3d models and other in game assets would be a great first start. If there’s a reason that I’m not seeing for there not being any in-game assets then please tell me.

That is a good question. I don’t have the answer as to why the AssetLib doesn’t have 3D models and the like. I can only guess that someone hasn’t submitted 3D models to be included in the AssetLib. Personally, I get most of my 3D assets from Open Game Art.
