How to do a dash based on Gonkee's Joystick?

His video on Youtube.
There is a cube (Green on top, black on the bottom). I put a position (or point) on the black side so that the character moves in this direction when dashing. But this does not work correctly. It makes a dash either to the green side, or to the black one.
How to do this correctly
