HammerForge brings Hammer and TrenchBroom style brush-based level editing into the Godot editor. Draw rooms, carve doorways, paint terrain and bake to optimised meshes without leaving Godot or installing external tools.

Two-click geometry. Drag out a base rectangle, click to set the height. Extrude faces to extend rooms. Type an exact dimension at any point during a drag.

No full-scene live CSG. Brushes stay lightweight preview nodes while you work and the boolean solve runs only at bake time, so a large level stays responsive. Subtractive brushes are staged as pending cuts until you apply them.

Paint floors and terrain. Grid-based floor painting with heightmaps, multi-material blending, automatic ramp and stair connectors, and foliage scatter.

Bake when ready. One action produces merged meshes, collision shapes (trimesh, per-brush convex, or partitioned per visgroup), lightmap UVs, navigation meshes and LODs.

150 built-in prototype textures for greyboxing, drawn as SVGs so they stay sharp at any resolution.

Test in place. The Console checks the level for problems, then Test Level bakes it and drops you in with a first-person controller.

HammerForge is a single addons folder. No external tools, no custom engine build, no export plugins.

Requires Godot 4.7 or newer.

Early alpha, and honest about it: this is a solo hobby project. It works, it is under active development, and it is rough in places. Issue reports are genuinely welcome.
