Hello!

I’m really excited to start using Godot. I’ve never coded with a game engine before, but I’m looking forward to it! Unfortunately, I can’t install it on my Chromebook that I use (I’ve tried every Linux method I could find for a good 2 hours). I’d like to install the latest version, but most of the tutorials work on older versions. I’m not a computer expert, but if you have any commands I could paste in, that would be great. I use a Lenovo C330. Unfortunately, I usually get this when I try to run it:

-bash: ./Godot_v3.2.3-stable_x11.64: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error

When I use menulibre, the launcher starts loading and doesn’t finish. Is there a way I can fix this? I’d really like to start developing with Godot.

Thank you so much!

ARM-based Chromebooks such as the Lenovo C330 require ARM binaries. However, Godot only distributes official Linux binaries for x86.

I’m not sure about installing it on linux for your chromebook, but you could try the web version. It’s made with chromebook in mind. See the latest news here Web Editor PWA, easier HTML customizations, and faster load times!

Thank you so much, this was very useful!!
