I know that I am expected to encode my translation files with UTF-8 and so I did it. But can I use special characters such as a semicolon trough codes like U+... or kind of this and how? "ö" does work, for example.

As it turned out, the problem was that there were new lines and not with "\n". Semicolons seem to be no problem.
