What kind of map are you creating? I ask because if it is a generated map a la Generate Random Cave Levels Using Cellular Automata | Envato Tuts+, I do have some Godot code I could offer you.

Best regards,

Steve

I never tried this before, but the documentation explains how to import scenes from Blender http://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/3d/importing_3d_scenes.html

yes friend I know.I need know if maps from blender not reduce performance to godot or if increase performance cause there in blender is easy make Walls, plane 3D ground, trees, barrels… undestand?

I made this discussion cause i wish boost godot for 3D FPS games.

thank you

For maps like the original Doom, making them in Godot or Blender won’t make a difference I think. Could be easier to do in Blender. But again I never tried anything serious in 3D, I prefer to wait for 3.0 :stuck_out_tongue:

For blocky levels, Gridmap is a nice tool but still far away from the 2D counterpart.

You can try it on the Platformer 3D demo.

In general if you are good using Blender, no matters what visual game editor you use, Blender will be the best at least to make a basic stage.

yes you are right, but need think in performance o create levels.Blender is very rich to create meshes easy to convert to low poly with litle reduce of quality.Ligthmaps is other thing blender can help for levels.
