why path follow h offset changes axis when activating any rotation mode?

hello everyone.

I’ve been playing with path nodes on 3d, i made a 3d curve only with points on the x and y axis, i put a pathfollow node inside the path with a mesh that follows it, everything works fine for that as the mesh follows the path with no problems.

What i encountered is that changing the h offset value of the path follow node while having rotation mode = none makes the offset on the x axis but if you activate any rotation mode the h offset changes to the z axis. is this an expected behaviour?

ty in advance.
