Hello all

I recently picked up a Surface Pro 4 (i7, 8GB ram, Iris 540) for an at work gaming emulation station as well as a Netflix consumer. Along the way I though I’d install Godot since it worked perfectly on my MacBook Pro (13” 2018) and Godot is known to be very lightweight.

I know my MacBook would blow the Surface Pro out of the water, but when I try to run Godot, my system gets extremely laggy, coding text is always behind by a letter or sometimes a word, and I generally have to wait a few seconds before the mouse responds to a click. This is when Godot is the only running program.

I don’t understand what’s going on. It’s a fresh install of Windows 10, fresh install of Godot, I even installed Python 3.8 in the hopes that might help.

This is a known issue on Intel IGPs on Windows. Follow the steps described in the Troubleshooting page.

Thanks for the heads up. That was a PITA to get the surface pro changed to an Intel driver. But it all worked out. And I’m back to having fun with Godot.
