Exporting 3D models from Blender with a texture

So I created a simple model, basically a few boxes and I mapped a nice little texture to it with UV mapping, though it seems that when I export the model with Collada exporter and then import it, my textures dissappear?

What things should I check so the textures would stay on the whole process?

Footnote: I haven’t tried importing models who certainly have set up their textures to work in a situation like this, this is basically my first model.

Have you enabled the “Include UV textures” - option within the collada exporter? It is a bit hard to find, in the lower left corner when you have to choose the path of your export.
