When I use godot on windows. The program starts slowly, and when I play the scene, the game window will become no response for 3 ~ 4 sec. But godot run really smoothly on Linux what more, the Linux machine is old and the windows machine is new.

Why the difference is so big? Can I make the windows run godot quicker?

There could be a whole host of reasons for this, even down to which linux distro you’re using such as Linux mint can’t hold a candle to a custom Arch install. It could be down to drivers, daemons, hardware… the list goes on.

This is probably related to the issue where Godot takes a while to scan for USB devices when starting on Windows. As a workaround, try unplugging unneeded USB devices when using Godot.
