Is there a way to turn it off?

Requiring a Splash Image annoys me. My tip is to just set a black image as the splash. You can make your main scene a custom animated splash after doing this.

I disabled it using a black image, I wonder if it is possible to disable it at all without tricks.

You need a boot splash image, even if it’s a black one, since it’s required by some platforms (like iOS). It’s easier to set an image than to figure out later why it does not work.

What is the reason for that? Is there a place I could read about this? Thank you!
