Solved. Put a check mark in the upper panel of transformation.
It would be nice for it to have a hotkey.
Can you elaborate on this?

Took me a while to find this too… You want to hit the ‘Local Space Mode’ button (hotkey is ‘T’). It’s in the toolbar above the viewport and looks like a little 3D cube.
