Looking at an object and following it as it moves 2D

I wanted to have my NPC (a sniper) to follow my character…they both are kinematicBodies and i don’t have a single clue on how to do it…does anyone have any idea?
and this might not be related but if you also explain how the angle() method works…i’d be delighted…thanks
