Segmented areas (Castlevania sotn)

I’m am currently making a game similar to castlevania symphony of the night and I want to make those segmented areas where you leave one screen and enter another.

Don’t know how you would exactly do this. In your scene, you could have the Viewport following the character. Then, when the character gets to a certain part of the scene, the property which makes the Viewport follow the character stops, and snaps to the boundaries of the scene.
