Please provide Godot Engine in a DEB Package for Linux Users .

A PC already running Linux would have to be used .

Use the DEB Packager “Debreate” , it itself comes in a DEB Package , hence the pre-requisite of using a PC that already runs on Linux .

Debreate deploys any Tarball into a DEB Package in just 3 easy steps , no coding involved .

I would also like to inform you that the Linux App Store version of Godot doesn’t work .

Hoping for the Best

I’m trying to use it on my chromebook but since the linux virtual box is so basic (and so bad) I have to try porting it somehow.

I could install a .deb file though on the flipside I have to try a proper way of solving this issue.

Do you have stock ChromeOS installed on it? Or did you use Crouton to install another distribution on it?

Only ChromeOS - but it’s fine, I can do concept art/preproduction stuff on it (since the virtual machine doesn’t really support hardware acceleration → it would take pretty long loading all the stuff anyway.

Maybe I’ll upgrade on another laptop, installing elementaryOS on it (since it’s a very cheap chromebook).
Cheers!

ElementaryOS is an excellent decision. B-)
