This happens a short moment after I press 'PLAY' from the title screen to start the match. It freezes then crashes after a few seconds.
What I find weird is that it only occurs in a Release build not Debug one.

This is what I got from the logs:

ERROR: Index p_type=34127776 out of size (VARIANT_MAX=27)
At: core/variant_call.cpp:1077:construct() - Index p_type=34127776 out of size (VARIANT_MAX=27)

This is a bug with 3.1 that the developers are aware of : https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/22292

You can help the developers by pointing out you had the same problem and telling them about the bug.
For example are you also using Linux or did it happen with a different OS for you? The more info they have on the problem the easier it is to fix.
Just do it inside the issue that already exists.
