i recently tried out godot and i LOVE it i want to make games with this engine but i noticed that godot runs rly slow on my pc with an i3 3220 and an asus radeon hd 6850 directcu edition with just 15 fps(i want to upgrade my gpu to an rx 460) but when i ran another software in the background (like steam or blizzard launcher etc.) the i got like 30 fps rly weird

but i want to run godot without opening everytime steam or so so can someone explain me whats happening?

I don’t remember the exact explanation, but (assuming you’re on windows) i think it has something to do with scheduling priorities. It’s something like: certain programs will force your computer to operate in a “real-time” mode. I’m not sure why Godot doesn’t do this itself though.
