I was just wondering if it is possible to get the owner of Godot’s contact details (such as email address, messenger etc).

This seems like what you are looking for: Contact - Godot Engine

Edit: By the way I don’t think there is an ‘owner of Godot Engine’, it’s open-source under the MIT license isn’t it?

Yeah but still the owner would be the one that owns this distro of Godot. By the way for your information MIT is not 100% Free and Open Source all though it is close.

“Yeah but still the owner would be the one that owns this distro of Godot”

In this case an organisation is “owning” Godot. It is called Godot Engine and there are several people part of it.

By the way for your information MIT is not 100% Free and Open Source all though it is close.

The answer by SingingApple does not assume what you are saying here. It states clearly that it is open-sourced (it is) under the MIT license (that’s also right). If you are refering to CC0 aka Public Domain as “100% Free” than you are right. But it is in fact 100% open sourced.

rolfpancake | 2018-02-14 11:38

Oh ok so you are right, it is 100% open source but not 100% free.

Do you wish it switched to a license where it is 100% free?

Joe0239 | 2018-02-14 11:41

Do you wish it switched to a license where it is 100% free?

No.

rolfpancake | 2018-02-14 12:09

OMG! Such an amazing conversation under my very own answer!

SingingApple | 2018-02-14 13:48

Please, behave, I’m sure you are all grown ups.

eons | 2018-02-14 23:17

@Eons I am not up for a fight. And I don’t want to fight. All I want is a peaceful argument/conversation, that’s all.

Joe0239 | 2018-02-14 23:25

@eons Actually, I am not a grown up yet! I am still a teenager!

SingingApple | 2018-02-15 09:37

My answer is resulting in quite an argument. Do you guys think I should hide it (my answer)?

SingingApple | 2018-02-15 09:39

Lol he is telling me and the other dude to behave, not you and your comment has nothing to do with our argument.

Joe0239 | 2018-02-15 10:31

@Joe0239 Yeah, but if you think of it each of my comments to this answer is basically a joke!

SingingApple | 2018-02-15 11:08

@SingingApple Nah not at all, your comments seem fine mate. Me and this other dude were having a similar conversation over at another post.

Joe0239 | 2018-02-15 12:16

“Do you guys think I should hide it (my answer)?”

Not sure because your answer solves the question. Sorry that your answer has been hooked. You could flag comments if they seem inappropriate. And if you are receiving too much emails then it would be better to hide your answer, yes.

rolfpancake | 2018-02-15 13:39

OK, then stop this argument/conversation/fight right here.

SingingApple | 2018-02-15 13:44

Its all ready over. No need to take further action.

Joe0239 | 2018-02-15 13:45

@Joe0239 The irony in your comment!

SingingApple | 2018-02-16 11:25

What do you mean mate?

Joe0239 | 2018-02-16 11:35

OK look, this comment section has become so huge, just stop it here.

SingingApple | 2018-02-16 12:02

Why does it matter how huge the comment section is may I ask?

Joe0239 | 2018-02-16 12:24

Why does it matter how huge the comment section is?

Many reasons:
•Server space wastage on Godot servers
•Tons of junk email from Godot
•Server space wastage on the email service provider(!?) i use.

May i ask?

Well, I will not stop you from asking questions but the thing is that I am not going to reply.

In fact, this is going to be my last comment on this answer.

Bye!

SingingApple | 2018-02-16 12:44

Text doesn’t really take up any space.

What do you mean by “owner”? There isn’t exactly an owner of Godot. The project has a guidance/steering committee to oversee the development of the engine. The original developers of the engine are Juan Linietsky and Ariel Manzur. If you want to get in contact with them, you can try using the Facebook page, Twitter, or (if you have access to it) the Discord channel. You can also contact the developers on GitHub, though I don’t know if that’s a good way to contact them.

Just for completeness:
Godot Docs - Channels

Best channel to get in contact with the devs:
#godotengine-devel at freenode
