I’m new to this Question of Licences, but a lot of open source Projects use GPL and it’s incompatible with MIT and the whole Audioserver had to be written new in MIT because of stuff only being avaliable under incompatible Licences, so i ask myself, why are the Developers working so hard on keeping it as MIT licensed? Would the possible usage of GDNative as a way to make Changes to the Engines Code a bit without touching the Code make it possible to move to GPL without restricting the Game Developer’s rights too much? Sorry if this sounds rude, i’m just curious.

incorrect. you can sublicense MIT into GPL.

if you make a game with GPL game engine,
you should use GPL for your game and make its source available to download.
do you want it?
even if you are willing to do so, who else would like to open their commercial game source to the internet? especially, game company.

here is someone who escape GPL

Oh, that makes total sense, i didn’t know that, so GPL Software can be used to create Images, models and communicate with the OS like with using ffmpeg and stuff, but the engine itself has to be MIT because games contain code, and that would mean the created games would have to be GPL if the engine were GPL, right?
