HTML5 hangs in both Chrome and Firefox Quantum

Through the Game Off 2017 game jam (see Game Off 2017 - itch.io) I note that a lot of games produced with Godot V2 have issues with HTML5 - hanging or not running like Windows versions.

It’s hard to say where the issue is: is it the new Firefox with HTML5 or Chrome, or is it Godot producing bad HTML5?

In Firefox, I note the page freezes though you can still close Firefox itself.

Has anyone else experiencing issues with HTML5?

Can you post a link to a game with html5 made in godot that hangs?

There are tons of games on that jam.

I wish I could… I removed mine, and now when I try, it works fine. Yet, when it was uploaded, it hung every time. 8(

OK here’s one that hangs: WakiZoids Xmas Edition by imekon

It hangs in Firefox Quantum but runs in Chrome.

In Chrome the thrust sound stops despite the fact you’re still thrusting. It doesn’t do this in the Windows download.

Got it to hang downloading on quantum, but is weird, no errors on the browser output.

The looping samples stopping is a known issue, I think somebody managed to get the loops with some specific settings on the samples but can’t remember which (if was compression or what).
