Is Godot 3 good for little html games (export size, old computer or without opengl graphic card compatible) ?

Hello,

I would love to use Godot for all my projects !

At first, I need to make small educational games integrated to web pages.

My questions are about Godot version 3.

  1. Will it be possible to run games if the user does not have an opengl compatible graphics card wether he uses a browser running webassembly natively or via asm.js ? The games’ll be 2D games.

  2. What is the minimum size of a Godot project exported for the web (an empty project for example) ? Is it possible not to export the full Godot for 2D games…

thank you very much

  1. ?? I am not don’t know, you can probably ask the #godotengine-devel irc on freenode.

  2. I heard somebody went crazy with the compile flags and disable most of the modules and manage to get it to around 3 MB for just the godot binary. I heard that took a ton a work.
