Is there a way to get image from android gallery?

Question is quite self-explanatory but I will explain further. What I’m looking for is if there is a function that opens default window on android (phone) that lets user search his explorer / gallery and pick photo he wants to send to app.

EDIT : it has been 5 days without response… Can anyone at least show me right direction?

Maybe a little late but look at this:

You can pick one or many images from gallery or image from your default camera app.
