how to I make a mesh visible in a godot module?

I’m trying to create a module that will generate terrain for me, but i can’t seem to figure out how to add the mesh I’ve created to the world so it’s visible.
I’ve already looked at docs.godotengine.org and the docs that come with the engines source code, YouTube, and even looked at some of the engines source code. I am at a loss as far as what to do.
