Godot 4.0 optimization?

General question. Once 4.0 makes it to Beta, are there plans to optimise its performance? There are some issues with it today (as of alpha 10) it seems… The usual suspects like particles, multimeshes, pathfinding etc. seem to be performing much worse compared to 3.x.

Performance has not been a priority in most cases yet - it’s about implementing features. Once it goes to beta, there will be a feature freeze. No new features will be permitted and all work will focus on optimization and bugfixes. That’s when you’ll probably see things start to improve.
