Hello all!

I am a high school teacher in New Zealand and we are teaching our senior students Godot after moving rom Unity last year. We are having a problem that our network manager pointed out. To quote him about me asking to add the export templates to our new school image “Ok, Godot by default stores the templates in c:\users{username}\appdata\roaming\godot.… which is the users roaming profile, and specifically one place we don’t want 500+mb of files inside (slows the login process down).” We are wondering if there is a work around for this?

Thank you so much to the awesome dev team and community.

Go to Download for Windows - Godot Engine and there is actually an option to download the export templates manually. Place them wherever you want, and in Godot do to Editor > Manage Export Templates. You should be able to just point godot to where you put the templates (you may have to unzip them first, I’m not sure) and voila. Hopefully.

Hope it works out
