so in this tutorial of kidscancode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqLchhxMldM)

you are able to see a meshinstance called “outlineshader” as a child of the camera.
i guess that mesh adds the outlines to objects. does someone now how i could do that to?
i dont think its a great idea to add a shader to every single mesh in the scene, and then i saw this in his tutorial xD

I’m not sure what method kcc used but from your description it sounds like a colour lookup table. You can google around to see if you can find one, they’re often paid for products.

Otherwise, just add a shader to the material. Here’s a good tutorial:
