How do I make it able so a player can change the texture of a sprite?

I'm making a dating-like simulator that takes place only in the chat box (kinda like Emily Is Away) and I want to make it possible for the user to set up their profile and stuff. I have some set images for the game and I want it so the Player can choose between the pictures I made, or possibly have them input their own pictures from their Pictures folder.
