Is there a known problem with MacOS export giving different behavior than running in the Editor?

I have created an app (it’s just an example for a class) that runs fine on a Mac, running in the Godot Engine. But, gives different output from a MacOS Export on the same machine. This is mind-boggling to me. Is anything known about this? Here is the correct ouput from the engine editor:
